Welcome to my site.

I am honored to have been elected Executive Vice President of the Mystery Writers of America. It's my great pleasure serve with President Laura Lippman. It's certainly an exciting year!

My excellent Board of Directors has been busy and we have made great strides for the organization:

** We had a very successful Edgars Awards banquet in April

** We resolved a problem with a major publisher vis a vis self-publishing

** We have jump-started MWA University, a series of regional 1-day classes in the craft of mystery writing, taught by some of the top-ranked authors in the field. The first class in August 2010 outside Washington, DC promises to be excellent.

I have a short story in the exciting anthology, Thriller 2 from Mira Books and edited by Clive Cussler.
